The day after we arrived in Paro, Bhutan we started our trekking adventure with a day trip to the Tiger's nest monastery or Taktshang. It was quite the uphill hike, but well worth it. It is very impressive to see the monastery built right on top of a huge rock cliff. The trail up to the top is decorated with prayer flags an prayer wheels. A thing to note is that you should always spin a prayer wheel clockwise and walk around stupa's/monuments clockwise.
