The lead horse Haja! He gets the pretty head decor. Guess how many horses and people it takes to bring four Americans trekking in Bhutan?
Well maybe you can't see all the horses, but it takes 10 horses, 2 horsemen, 2 assistants, a chef, and a guide! They don't quite have the concept of light trekking gear!
They bring tables, huge propane tanks for cooking, chairs, a toilet tent, a kitchen tent, and eating tent and then 2 sleeping tents for us.
Eating a hot lunch on the trail. It might sound really luxurious to have such an entourage, but it was hard work trekking 10-14 miles a day uphill.
The Jigme Dorji National park, named after one of the Kings. They have a royal family in Bhutan. I'll let dad talk about with his consultation to the Prince of Bhutan. The son of the favorite Queen!
